We are putting far too much organic stuff into our rubbish that goes to the Tirohia landfill, which is filling up faster than expected. This may mean our district council will have to use another landfill (further away, at higher cost) years earlier than expected. They decided to use it in their home renovations and are pleased they did. The Sustainable Matamata gardening team who work at the Potager Garden at the Firth Tower & Museum found themselves in the company of Seven Sharp recently whilst also getting to know Steven Yin, owner-operator of New World Matamata.
