Composting Workshops

Hosted by our friends at the Potager Garden (Firth Tower, Matamata), join local composting expert, Jeff Johnson, for an information-packed workshop to learn all about how to compost your organic waste and use it in your home garden. It's a great example of circularity at home.

Sign-up for the next workshop via our Events page, or email us at compost@sustainablematamata.org.nz for more information.

Home composting workshops are sponsored by Sustainable Matamata.

Crop Swap

Matamata chapter of the national Crop Swap network.

We meet on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month at 2pm to freely share growing tips and advice, excess home-grown produce, seedlings, flowers and more.

Bring along things you have grown or made to share with others at this friendly meet-up of like-minded backyard gardeners.

Examples of what people have brought along: fruit, veges, seedlings, seeds, pinecones, preserves, egg cartons, eggs, empty jars.

Follow Crop Swap Matamata on Facebook or sign-up for our newsletter for details.
