All the fun of the sustainability fair will be better late than never!

We are still going onwards and upwards to create another Sustainability Fun Day, but it will be in November next year, not in March.

Constraints on the availability of committee members in coming months have led Sustainable Matamata to decide not to run our next fun day on our previously advised date, which was March 2027.

We have run two so far (April 2025, March 2026) with increasingly good feedback. Each time, we have had strong support from a long list of businesses large and small, as well as Matamata-Piako District Council, and we remain truly grateful for that.

Co-coordinator Lianne Edwards-Maas, who led this year’s fun day organising, says: “We look forward to bringing this event back again next year, and for it to be better than ever! To do this, we will need a little more time and support from our amazing local groups and volunteers.”

Sustainable Matamata aims to make these events memorable, informative and, most of all of course, fun.
